At the Grand-Bornand, an authentic village of Haute-Savoie nestled in the Aravis range, one experiences the mountains in all its dimensions. The beauty of the landscapes, summits and valleys, alpine or residential chalets (there are more than 400 of them) and beautiful bell tower, harmonize with the energy of a great regenerating and beneficent fresh air. And it is not only because we have fallen in love with this region since our youngest age that we decided to shoot our latest collection there. While the Grand-Bornand is well known both in summer and winter for its sports activities, skiing, hiking and cycling, it is also an ideal place to practice peacefully other forms of commitment such as yoga, climbing, or Pilates. So what could be more natural than to present our new collection in this dream-like setting.
Masala Yoga : the Himalayan class
As part of a former great resort hotel, the Bornandine Alexia and her companion Tilby, a young couple of backpackers attached to the country, have chosen to lay down their suitcases and unroll their mats offering a new yoga class, perfectly exploiting the atypical characteristics of the place: high ceilings, mouldings and n° of rooms in enamelled plates, antique floors and breathtaking views on the chain of Aravis, spectacular from this balcony to the tune of small Himalayas. They provide a teaching as close as possible to Indian philosophy, in the authentic and traditional form transmitted by the Yogis for millennia. The courses are composed of “Asanas” (postural practices), “Pranayamas” (breathing exercises) and meditation. Here there is no competition, everyone experiences the postures at their own pace and listens attentively to their sensations whilst equally opening doors to other traditions: Tibetans, Amerindians…
Courses and internships - including in the wilderness (toumo, acroyoga...) - from 3 years old.
Prices: from 13 €/session

Hiking and yoga to align yourself with nature…
As for L’Auberge Nordique located on the heights of the village, this summer it is renewing the experience of collective accommodation in the mountains thanks to major extension / restructuring works having endowed the hostel with 26 additional rooms bringing its total capacity to 160 beds, a central patio restaurant and its panoramic terrace favoring meetings and exchanges between residents, and a trendy “hygge” wellness area. Equipped with a salt cave, this little architectural gem on the edge of a hundred-year-old forest, offers striking views of the sides of the Aravis range… Enough to consolidate the establishment in the pursuit of its repositioning towards the culture of well-being with the practice of Satiam yoga mixed with sports and Nordic sessions, among other detox healing courses. This stay is also an opportunity to make walking in the mountains an awakening of the body and the mind. A unique sporting experience at the source of your being, with Mylène Dunoyer, a yoga coach and graduate.
Prices: from 682€/ week/ person in all inclusive
